Sarnia Connects exists to provide young, career-driven professionals, between the ages of 18 and 35 a forum in which they can meet, network with and get to know other like-minded individuals in the Sarnia-Lambton area.

The group was co-founded by Ryan Gervais, of Re/max (www.sarnialistings.com) and Scott Palko of CCI Studios (www.ccistudios.com). The two saw a need for interaction among the youthful workforce in the county and wanted to create an environment where informal and enjoyable communication could take place. Hence, Sarnia Connects was created.

Sarnia Connects' idea is simple - take people of a specific age demographic and offer them a venue and a framework within which they can educate others about their personality and skills and learn about those of others. The basic concept is that you will get out of Sarnia Connects, what you put in.

Events are held once a month, with the location varying depending on sponsorship. An event agenda consists of the following:

• 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Sign In
• 5:20 pm - 6:10 pm: Mingle/Schmooze/Eats
• 6:10 pm - 6:15 pm: Connections Made This Past Month
• 6:15 pm - 6:20 pm: Business Profiles
• 6:20 pm - 6:30 pm: Door Prize/Announcements/Wrap Up
